il prospetto della croce è un pannello trittico dipinto , raffigurante molti rippling-muscled uomini che sollevano gesù in croce . questo dipinto mostra chiaramente l'influenza di michelangelo , Caravaggio , e tintoretto , tutti i cui dipinti hanno influenzato molto rubens . rubens completò il dipinto dopo essere tornato nelle fiandre dall'italia , dopo la morte di sua madre nel 1608 . Questo dipinto , insieme a la discesa della croce , fu preso dal belgio da napoleone , ma sono stati successivamente restituiti alla fine del 19th secolo . ora sono entrambi situati nella cattedrale di nostra signora ad anversa .
